The Garden Party
The Garden Party is a tradition that originated in England. This is a festive event that takes place outside. Guests often gather in the gardens, where food and drink are served, usually around a buffet. It's a very enjoyable occasion!
In Luxembourg, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess host the 'Garden Party' after National Day on 23 June in the superb gardens at Berg Castle. They invite the country's 'driving forces' to join them. These are the people who make sure the country runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis, for example, business leaders, political representatives, police officers, firefighters… There are so many of them!
The Garden Parties are an excellent opportunity to get together in a festive setting and thank the people who work to promote Luxembourg.
