Berg Castle Garden

Here we are in the Berg Castle Garden, which are different from those of other castles. The focus here is on flowers, because I love flowers. There are natural flowers almost all year round in the castle gardens. Everything is maintained without pesticides and with respect for nature. This is where I like to go for walks with Toffee, my dog.

Toffee, the Grand Duchess's dog!

Meet Toffee, my dog. She's a Yorkie. She’s named after the sweet. I try to take her with me whenever I can. She's even in an official photo! She's a lively little dog who loves to run around Berg's gardens. She is also very affectionate. Toffee is part of the family, much to the delight of our grandchildren.

The Garden Party

The Garden Party is a tradition that originated in England. This is a festive event that takes place outside. Guests often gather in the gardens, where food and drink are served, usually around a buffet. It's a very enjoyable occasion!

The gardener

Hello, I'm the head gardener. I look after the parks and gardens at the Grand Ducal palace, the Colmar-Berg residence and Fischbach castle. There are about a dozen of us looking after the trees and flowers, from the nurseryman who raises the young trees to the florist who makes up the bouquets and floral decorations.
